About Our Doctor
Frank P. Scartozzi, D.D.S., F.A.S.D.C.
Dr. Scartozzi has provided outstanding pediatric dental care in New Jersey since 1989! His undergraduate study was at St. John's University, where he completed and obtained a bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. He graduated Cum Laude (with honors) in 1984.
His graduate study was completed at Columbia University School of Dental Medicine in New York City. He was awarded the Alumni Award for excellence in pedodontics as well as for his work as president of the Psi Omega (Dental Honor Society) fraternity. Afterwards, he completed a one-year post-graduate general practice residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He then completed two years of specialty training at Schneider Children's Hospital, part of Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Scartozzi has spent many years as staff clinician at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Children's Specialized Hospital (Mountainside, NJ) and St. Joseph's Medical Center (Paterson, NJ). He is still a current member and consultant to St. Joseph's Medical Center Craniofacial Center and Team.
Dr. Scartozzi is a current member in many leading dental organizations, including the:

- Academy of Sports Dentistry
- American Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Association
- Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention
He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and a Master of the New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Scartozzi gets involved with the local community by visiting local nurseries and preschools, hosting class trips to his office, and holding talks with the Boy and Girl Scout associations, about achieving and maintaining excellent oral hygiene. He has also served as the chairperson of his county's dental society, and contributes to National Children's Dental Health Month activities.
Dr. Scartozzi lives in Bergen County, New Jersey with his wife and their three children. They have two dogs, Smokey, a black lab mix, and Pancho, a papillon mix. Dr. Scartozzi has also been very involved with the Boy Scouts of America as a leader at different levels. He enjoys many outdoor events such as camping, hiking, etc., and he has been active with the Haitian Relief, charity concerts and fundraisers both on the local, national and international level.
